Through the years, when artists have wished to portray some single person who was representative of the many thousands of telephone employees, they have turned to the telephone operator as a symbol of the nerve center of our vast communications industry. "A Nation United by Telephone" is no exception. Painted in 1940 in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the opening of transcontinental telephone service, it was used briefly in mostly internal publicity. Out of Stock!!!
